Firefox crashes when trying to download a file

a more recent guide, there isn't much I can do at this point the guide is pretty detailed but it covers the process and if that doesn't help the support there can do a much better intern job.

Using safemode all the time sounds a little silly :/
But does it work now?

Ok three points.

1. have you updated your FF to the latest version?? i.e. 3.6.10 or 4 beta (not really commended)
2. In FF for you Tools / Opinions in the download section where is it pointing too? If its not the desktop then change it to it. Close FF completely and reopen to see whether that resolves the issue.

When i use safe mode everything works good! =D
So im gonna go and detele all my extensions and if that dont work i'll just use safe mode.

Now I recall I had a similar problem some years ago when I started using Vista, it was a Firefox extension. I Think it was Down Them All.

I've never had this problem but I'm glad it's sorted. I recommend to uninstall the extensions you aren't using; keep active just the more importants.

More extensions = decreasing of browser perfomances, continuos crashes,...

Just to clear things up with the link daniyagami gave it was AVG that did it.
