Just what the title says, I have some files I'd like to watch on my tv without the use of my computer.

I guess first you should check if your computer CAN burn DVDs. Usually your computer will have somewhere DVD-R/RW or DVD+RW (Rewrite for the RW).
And then I believe Windows Vista/7 have a program you can burn DVDs from a file already installed. Otherwise you'll need to find a free program via google
Like Miyosha said, a handful of laptops/computers have a program that lets you burn such things.
I've burned using Windows Media Player. The website has a list of FAQ about it so I won't go into it. HERE IS THE LINK for that
You can also use websites like burnmyfiles.com
It is also going to depend on what type of file you are burning to the disk--not all file types can be read by all DVD players. I think the files need to be the avi file type for most DVD players.
All the files i have are .avi
on my computer I have DVD Fit and Windows DVD Maker, is one better than the other?
I think going with Windows DVD maker is user friendly.
Hope they turn out well!
Thanks for the help everyone ^^
Just wanted to let you all know that it works, once I got the money to get the DVD+R's.
