phone media player problems (SE Vivaz)

so my shiny new phone crashed>< and when it rebooted the media player couldnt see any of the music on my mem stick..
the files are still there.
ive rebooted, taken the mem card out batt out etc factory reset, upgraded the software and still nada...
im just about to send it back to sony for repair...but i'd like to fix it before it gets to that if possible so any help at all would be fantastic!!

So the phone basically doesn't recognize the mem stick anymore?
The files on the memory card are not being read by the media player, are you able to access that card at all, as in a: is it being recognized by the phone itself?

I would first check if it isn't the card that is or is not broken. ways to do this, put the card in another phone, see if it recognizes it or not. If not the card is broken.
Other thing, dash another card in your Vivaz see if the Vivaz recognizes it because then it might be the connection inside the phone that is broken.

Lastly, crash? Any idea on what might have caused this crash? They don't always fall out of the sky for no reason.

If you have warranty just send it in for repairs.

nope, the phone still recognises the stick, i can access and play the files individually but he media player on the phone cannot find them.
sort of like when you store them in the wrong place...except i havent moved them xd
i aready thought of checking the card, sadly its a micro sd...the only one in the house..and the only device i have that takes them is this new phone..XD but as the stick is still accessible i dont think the stick is broken.
i think it crashed because i had to many thing open, its happened before if i try and do to much to quickly...or to many connections are open, usually it just reboots itself and nothings wrong...

yeah its still under warrenty so i'll prob end up sending it back,..just wanted to see if anyone had anything that might help xd

have you installed some other media player other than the original? like, TTpod or something? 'cause maybe there's another software causing conflicts.
also, have you tried to turn off (completely) your phone and turn it on after a few minutes?

nope not installed anything, yup tried turning it off XD
as for the low batt yh it does do that, it also crashes while writing mssgs and whenev er the hell it feels like it XD

given up now, sent it bk for repair..they seemed to just reinstall it..fixed the media problem not the random crashing problem¬¬ still better than before i guess...

If I were you, after going through many phone problems myself (knock on wood) I would just try to get another phone entirely. Especially if it repeats it's actions, i.e. crashing, media problems, etc.
