Firefox 3.6 language problem

well, I wouldn't call it a problem, but it annoys me^^
since I started using ff 3.6 it randomly switches to chinese (or japanese, I have no clue^^).
the tab title and everything else stays normal only the header and the field in the taskbar (the think right next to start... please forgive my lack in computer english...)
If I close ff and open it again everythings back to normal, but I'd really like to know why this happens and how I can fix it without restarting ff.
So far I haven't even been able to find any option that says something about languages...

I'd really appreciate any help.

Hi . Try to reinstall it after having cleaned the previous installation.

I already did that.
But it didn't help
And I just found out, that when I open a new window it's also back to normal there.

In Options >> Content, there's a setting for favorite pages language, is it set as you'd like ?

If the language you want there is missing in the tab, there's the possibility to add more from a pretty big list.

if it keeps on happening then you could always revert back to the previous version

Hmmm... methinks if you remove some languages from your language preferences [or move 'english' up to the top of the list], then it may help...

1. Select 'Tools' from your menu bar


2. Select 'Options'


3. Where it has 'Languages', click 'Choose'


4. You may choose to 'Remove' Japanese/Chinese [or whatever else you may have there'


5. You can move 'English' up to the top of the list... click ok, etc.
