Ah, thanks for the heads up, then!
Ah, thanks for the heads up, then!
Whoa, that's interesting news. I wonder how this thing is made.
I think I was hit when I was on a site, downloading music, but that could be the downloading site, but this anti virus program keeps popping up and everything slowed down. So I had to reboot. Couldn't even get to listen to music like I normally do.
Thanks for the heads up. I'll keep this in mind.
Hey DON'T SCARE ME!!! If you have an anti-virus program it should help you keep the viruses away right?
Well, this is certainly interesting.
On a(ny) site that is more prone to ad popups, huh? I guess I have to watch out. D:
Oh gee!!!! Thank you all for jinxing me!!! Right went I get on aarin..... RIGHT AFTER!!! -BEEP!! BEEP!! ~A VIRUS HAS BEEN DETECTED~ Carnival fuking colored virus...PIECE OF ****! -Throws computer- And I just, JUST up-graded the avast! Huhh... what can you do...I restarted my comp.
My computer started acting funny yesterday evening but i just shut it down and today it's working good. (not to jinx things)

and... may I ask something.. if you do got the virus attack.. after you reboot your computer then is it over? I mean so the virus is failed to embedded itself to the computer right? --> means that your computer are saved?
no
rebooting would not work
it will just return after a good minute
make sure you remove it completely

@vicantis: there is a few antivirus program to remove it
malwarebytes is a good one
I removed it completely off my computer
it is just that my uni's network is not too safe as of now so I was reinfected
the worst thing about this virus is that it would not allow you to open any program, change your system or even move
since this is fairly new version of the old trojan, it might take a while before they get an antivirus to completely protect against it
my personal hate for this is the green background and red and black box on your desktop with the annoying every 10 seconds pop up to scan and install itself unto your computer
if you get infected, get malwarebytes
after that, scan, remove and reboot
you should be fine after that
thanks for warning. will keep a lookout for it.
So wait, it's just a pop up window? My firefox popup blocker combined with noscript add-on makes it really safe for browsing. For those who don't know, noscript allows the user to disable anything but the site itself and any sort of java script vital for the site to function properly. So, it is able to single out and block pop-up windows, especially so to repeat offenders. I highly recommend the add-on.
