"Nero Home has stopped working"

Okay so throughout the day as I'm working on my laptop, this stupid message pops up saying "Nero Home has stopped working." I click okay or whatever, not really caring, then 5-10 seconds later, the pop-up reappears. Then again, and again, and again. This sometimes happens 10 times in a row before it stops. Then several hours later, it starts up again.

I have Nero 7 Essentials ... have no idea how it got there; either it came with the computer or Vista (which my father recently installed on here) or perhaps my father put it there. Either way, I don't use it.

I would like to avoid completely uninstalling it, but is there anyway to stop this pop-up message from constantly appearing? Thanks in advance for the help B-)

I had the same problem on one system and found out that the problem was caused by the process "NMIndexStoreSvr.exe". I renamed the file and the error message did not pop up again.

In your task manager anything related to nero? Most probably the nero application have crashed, and you might need to reinstall it to solve this problem. I mean, have you tried to reinstalled it?
