Warning: MegaUpload Virus Attack

Being that my dad is an IT himself, he hasn't mentioned to me anything about unsafe downloading and/or viruses from MU. In fact, he's been downloading from MU even before and after the date of this thread. Not that I'm saying there isn't a virus attack or whatever, just that my dad also works in the tech support field and surrounds himself with computers everyday too, and there hasn't been the slightest problem from clients or on his personal computer about this particular situation. So I want to tell everybody to stay calm and not panic. If it indeed became a problem, it would be all over the tech news warning people about it by now! Maybe those people who went to lazy12's office were downloading..... porn? and they were just too embarrassed or felt it was too inappropriate to admit that they were and now they are infested with some kinda virus. Porn... I tell ya, if it's not yaoi, it's hazardous to your computer! Just kidding :P But back on a serious note, don't worry people! ^^

I get that message too though Megamanager still downloads the files and they work when I play them One of the many Megaupload mysteries out there

MU acts wierd from time to time, but I have not dowloaded anything bad ..yet. I think sometimes when files are too suspicious like from weird sources it can happen ...but who knows nothing is certain on the internet unless server is on fire

I truly hope that is not the case, since I used M/U consistently. I assumed that as long as there's a good anti-virus then it is all right.

Don't worry. It may be due to maintenance or something of that kind, so the file is temporarily out of access. You will be able to access it again soon (may take a day).

If the file was removed, you would get a message like this one "This file was removed due ...".

cause of maintenance, when the server at megaupload is being worked on non of the files on the server are accessible otherwise it would interfere with the cleaning/fixing/maintenance

If something is being worked on in the coding then a site has to be taken offline or at least the services that they are working on, in this case the download servers at Megaupload.

Nothing to worry about, any virus malware thing that might have been there is now removed for as far as I know

Huh? is this a fact? I mean Do you have the proof to say that MU have these kinda stuff. From what I can see you are just trying to flame MU.
Have you checked if the FILE you downloaded from MU contain virus?

F.Y.I I've been using MU for more than 4 months. 8MB/s download and satisfied speed always.
No virus, anything. =/
Maybe there's some other software that causes the incident of black screen?
