I would first check if it isn't the speakers that are broken before even doing anything with the PC
get some random headphones, put them in the same exit and try it out
also try out any other green entry holes you might have in the back of your PC, I remember that one day I turned my old pc on and apparently one died while the other suddenly worked
What Izume says is also important =) and if that even fails I'd suggest a soundcard reinstall which is easy but annoying to do if you have to do it a lot D:

Okay, today I was hunting down the sheet music for Aerith's theme and accidently clicked on a link that made it play on Windows Media Player. Guess what? The music started playing. Then I tried to watch a movie online and the sound wouldn't play! :pissed:
Even put my headphones in the jack and it still won't plaaaay!! :nooo:

^When that happens to me I close the browser (completely close all firefox processes, wait a few secs/mins) and then open it again. Maybe that would work :monk:

It could be any number of things:
1. You may need new speakers or headphones.
2. Your drivers may need to be reinstalled. Depending on your computer brand, you may have gotten a disk with the drivers on it. Uninstall and reinstall them. If you don't have a disk, go to the company's website, and they should be able to help you from there
3. Your sound card may be junk. You can buy one cheap for $15 or $20 in most cases at just about any store that deals in computer electronics.
4. Worst case scenario, something is screwed up in your Operating System. You may need to format and reload the entire system. (If such is the case, you'll definitely want to back up your files.)
I hope it's nothing serious, good luck! :)

It's alright guys! Went foolin' around and managed to get the sound back by sheer dumb luck. :hot: Thank you all!

Glad to hear it, at least it was nothing serious. :)

glad it's back, though curious the website didn't happen to be on youtube right?
