I'm having the same problem. Which file and folder should be renamed? I've changed the 'jibberish' to proper characters but all I get when I click on the icon to play it is a blank black screen. I'm on Windows XP not 2000 so I don't know what's going on. Please help! I'm dying to play this game!

Here is what I did that worked for me:

I more like added Japanese to my computer, not changed the language to Japanese. I followed these directions: http://blgames.ukepile.com/install/i...204e315dde#jap

Then when the name of the file and the folder the file are in changed to kanji instead of gibberish ( St_Migael: gibberish means nonsense characters, like #$%@^ ) I went and changed both names into something meaningful in English (Death Note and Death Note Game in my case.) Of course I', running Windows 2000 but it should be even easier in XP since the instructions on the URL I gave you are for XP. Good luck, hope it works.

Well, in the end, everything will work out just fine. There're many computer pros (how I wish I was one) who're here to guide new players along or try to help solve any related problems.
A picture tells a thousand words - most games are pretty easy to understand just by looking at the images. There're also English yaoi games available. You may want to check them out.

I was having the same problem! But I changed the folder name and BAM, no more black screen and crashing. Miracle much? I'm so happy for this thread! x3

The renaming folders thing worked out (yay!) but then it froze on the first picture when I clicked on it! D:
...And it's a rather incriminating picture to have stuck on your computer when your mum just got home. Lol.
