Oh, I see. I didn't notice that. Now, you mentioned it, Konoe's voice box was green, not yellow. It worked. I'm very sorry for this. :sob: Thank you monokuroe!

I've checked my folder according to yours and this is the case.

ooookay it seems there was a problem with the game itself and/or patching and some of your files. The smaller file size means it was corrupted and such. Would be better if you uninstall-reinstall again TnC just to have a clean slate to work again. Remember NOT TO INSTALL AT THE DEFAULT FOLDER INSTALLATION AND YOUR SYSTEM IS AT JP LOCALE.
After installing with the English Patch, check the file sizes again.
Also, the lack of script.bak means something went wrong with the English Patching, since script.bak is made during the English patch.
Don't worry about the togainunochi.bak since it's merely the original executable whose file type changed from .exe to .bak.
Ok, I reinstalled the game and files have the same size as yours. But script.bak (932 KB) is still missing and the game didn't rund at all.
On your list: togainunochi.bak is the 880 KB and the real game starter togainunochi.exe is 152 KB. In my case the togainunochi.exe is the one with 880 KB and the 152 KB one is missing.

I tried to start as Administrator or the Game Start (BD-ROM) , but nothing happened. :nooo:
http://aarinfantasy.com/forum/f145/t2409-togainu-no-chi.html
I downloaded the game from here (MEGA)
and the english patches from here.

Oh man I'm wrong, right, you replace script.pak yourself right? Sorry sorry sorry.
For the error box, just run it as Administrator and please run it under Compatibility Mode: Windows XP SP3. Also, did you download a No-DVD patch, that is the 182 kb that was missing. You need that to run. And sorry for being Lazy Ass but the download for it is just around this forum section just search for "Togainu no Chi no DVD"
Also, did you check if the file sizes correspond once again?
Kojichan you're amazing T-T Thank you!
Thank you for taking the time to explain this because the directions helped tremendously! Lamento was the only game I was having trouble with. I'm using Windows 10 so some of the sites where I previously went for installation tips didn't work. I switched from using Daemon Tools and Win RAR to using Virtual Clone Drive and 7-Zip and I was able to get the game and the patch running, so now I'm happy. Thanks again
hi guys i am having trouble getting this game to work im following all the steps but as soon as i install patch 1.03 the game stops working altogether i have installed 1.01 first but i cat seem to find 1,02 anywhere can someone help me out and upload it opn megauploads or rethread it for me cause i think that might be the issue but idk ive been at this all day trying to get this game for my gf who was a big fan of dramatical murder and why i aint into yaoi i did like the story line of dramatical murder and would like to see her play this game too minus the sex scenes lol also and this is just a shot in the dark anyone know any links to tic tac or really really cause im trying to get those for me lol
Hello misschief! ^_^ That's awfully sweet of you to do for your girlfriend.
Anyways... You only need 1.03 patch, not the others. 1.03 includes the 1.01 and 1.02 updates automatically.
As for it not working afterwards... what exactly is not working? If you mean by the game won't start up, AT ALL, it's because the game is expecting the DVD for the game to be in the cd drive. You'll need a NoDVD version of the EXE.
Here's a guide that helps break down the installation process, have a look through it!

If you still are confused, please let us know some more information about the computer you're installing Lamento to. ^^ Also any errors you may get or not.
As for Tick! Tack!... You have good taste. XD I loved Shuffle! myself. Although I don't know of an English translation for the game, I can help you find it. I'll send you some information...
Hello! My computer has been on the fritz and it wiped a lot of my games, including Lamento and I'm trying to reinstall it, but I keep running into different problems.
At the moment, I reached the step where you click the game to make sure it runs, but I keep getting an error and it closes down. I've checked my system locale, made sure everything was downloaded and placed properly, but it still won't work. Could someone please help me? T_T
EDIT: So sorry, managed to figure it out and get it running properly!
Finally!:happy:Thank you so much for telling me where the installation folder is, the other guides didn't really make that clear so I was always getting lost. I only got past the intro so far, but the game, patch, and saves are working well.
I successfully installed Lamento, and it runs(Glitchy and freezes sometimes but runs) and I cannot get the game to progress after the first decision, the options fade and than nothing.
Can anybody offer a solution???
Thanks That really helped!!
Thank you very much for the explanation, it took me +2 to install hours due to old guides and new ones and different files and downloads. This went perfectly. Although, that second link, uh, the one that's supposed to be uncensored, it's not uncensored sadly ): I've gotten to two endings so far and yeaaaah they were censored. But still thanks a lot, saved me from struggling who knows how many more hours.
I used the "Buttons and Smut translated" link from the start of this post, by kojichan. It was downloaded directly into the folder and renamed as mentioned so I don't think a screenshot would help much.
I am following the steps and everything was going well until I got to Part 6: installing the game, Attachment 173798Attachment 173799Attachment 173800Attachment 173801
this is the part after your supposed to pick the folder you want the game to install into; where you leave the check and press next, I tried keeping the check marked and then un-marking the check and it didn't work. If anyone can help me out I would be really grateful
Ahh, but it might. ^^ A screenshot can help us diagnose if the file itself is the problem, or something else that's unintentionally floating around. Was the config / options menu in English?
Ahh, it looks like the place you want to install Lamento is full! The game needs at least 1.4GB of free space, for JUST the game without voices. And a full 2GB if you include voices. Where are you trying to install the game? ^^
I've successfully installed it! Thank you for this guide!
Alright, here you go

Also yeah everything is in English, buttons, menus, the text, everything. (sorry my pc is Dutch lol)
The filesize doesn't seem to match up. The full CG patch should be about 66,900KB. Maybe something went wrong during the download? It's kind of looking like you've downloaded and installed the buttons-only patch by mistake.
EDIT: yeah, your filesize matches the buttons-only patch exactly, heh. Looks like you've just installed the wrong cg patch version.
This guide needs SO MUCH LOVE. Perfect, easy to understand, and got it working on the first try! Thank you!!!
I did everything you said but when I executed the game it just opened for half a second and then it closed itself.
Btw I didn't use a mounting program since I have windows 10 and you can mount ISO files directly, could this have something to do with my problem?
There it is
Attachment 173870
Thank you for your help btw :-)Attachment 173871
No worries. ^^ I enjoy helping solve stuff like this.
OK! So I know what is wrong with your installation...
You don't have the NoDVD program in there proper (nor the English patch, for that matter). The opening and closing is normal behaviour for the original game when it cannot find the original disk (And it will won't find it, even if you're using an ISO.)
In that case, you just need the NoDVD program, and then you can install the English patch and play. ^^
https://aarinfantasy.com/forum/f49/t...ml#post4349789 <-- If you went through this, have a look at Part 8 again. Then follow the rest of the guide again. ^^
My folder didn't have LmtDVDVer103 or a NoDVD program, so I downloaded them separately. I downloaded the game's files with torrent, maybe that's the problem? I'll download the game again from the post you linked ^o^
thanks to everyone who helped me yeah it was cause i didnt have the right no cd disk permanently mouted for lamento she played through it though finally and got the best ending on the first try unfortunately had to reboot pc due to errors and now gotta redownload everything lol but now that i know what im doing i should be good thans for the help kojichan!
At the bottom of the post you quoted, I mentioned that the "Lamento - BEYOND THE VOID-.bak" file was mine purely; it's not required. ^^ I kept the original EXE safe.
If the game isn't booting up, have a look at the file SIZE of the "Lamento - BEYOND THE VOID-.EXE". If your EXE for Lamento is over 1,000kb, it's the original EXE and is looking for the official DVD in the drive (It won't boot).
So you need the NoDVD version of the EXE (~800kb)
If you didn't follow the guide I posted, you can find the NoDVD version here:
Index of /patches
Look for the text: [Nitro+CHiRAL] Lamento noDVD Patch (required for AGTH).rar
Download that and save it into the Lamento folder, overwriting the original EXE. ^^
Hello PandaRuda! ^^
Would you mind taking a screenshot of your folder where you installed Lamento? It should look like the one from the post you quoted!
If you overwrote the game EXE file, the new one shouldn't ask for a DVD at all!
Also, maybe you can take a screenshot of the error message? That always helps! XD
I'm stuck on part 6. It won't let me click on Lamento_DVD, so I don't get any pop ups asking for it to run the installer,
and I tried going to "My Computer" and open the Lamento DVD but that doesn't work either. T_T
Attachment 174061
Hmmm... Here's a test... You have 7-Zip or WinRAR, right? (Well, obviously, XD;;; )
Try Right-clicking on the "LAMENTO_DVD.ISO" and select either of these two, depending on what you have:
7-Zip:
> 7-Zip > Open Archive
WinRar:
> Open with WinRAR
(If the WinRar one isn't available, just open WinRar itself and drag the ISO onto it.)
If the ISO is valid, it will open up in there. If it does NOT open or gives you errors, then that means the ISO is corrupt/incomplete, and you might need to redownload it.
