I'm glad you were able to get your copy of Lamento working! ^^ Enjoy it! If you have any more issues, feel free to post about it.

Thank you very much for helping! ^-^ I hope it will work. Btw, I downloaded another Lamento torrent that had the 1.03 patch, and that gave the same message. :/
Did the patch file I told you to download and gave you a link for also have the same error?
Yes. :( But maybe I installed the game in the wrong way, I'll follow your steps for this time.
Nope, still not working. :/
Hmm, is there an error showing when installing? These are the patches, right? You've installed Lamento properly without the patches yet, or have you tried uninstalling-reinstalling again?
Is there any other details you could share, if you don't mind such as the ff:
1. System Locale Settings
2. OS version
3. User Account Control Settings
4. Comparison MD5 of the patches using this website: http://onlinemd5.com/
How to use the website:
1.Just drag one of the patches to the box saying "Click to select a file, or drag and drop it here( max: 4GB )."
2. Make sure "Checksum Type" is at MD5.
3. Copy paste these values to the "Compare with:" text box:
---a. For LmtDVDVer101.exe - B1E77A9DF6BA17C0EC03B41EB3BC2FDE
---b. For LmtDVDVer102.exe - AD09ECB67962EC2964B9D14290C42930
---c. For LmtDVDVer103.exe - 7B79A39AA37B30623753F4F5F1A5DB6F
4. Press compare. Screenshot results
I see, well! Let's try one last thing, then... ^^ The LmtDVDVer103 patch is actually just an archive, so it holds the files that it fixes.
What you can do, is select LmtDVDVer103, RIGHT-CLICK and do one of two things:
If you have WinRAR:
- Click on "Extract to LmtDVDVer103" and a new folder will be created, and the files will be extracted.
If you have 7-Zip:
- Click on "7-Zip" > "Extract to "LmtDVDVer103"", and then a new folder will be created and the files will be extracted.
Go into that new folder named "LmtDVDVer103", with the extracted files, and COPY "nss.npa" and "voice1.npa". You only need these two files! You don't need anything else!!
Now head into the folder where Lamento was installed, and "Paste" the files. Please make sure to overwrite the existing "nss.npa".
If you followed my previous guide, then find the step where you get the NoDVD version of the game, and put that into the same folder, too. It's smaller than the version of the EXE, and it's required to run the game now. ^^
Let me know how that goes for you...
If the error is persistent black screen/not opening, check your system locale again.
Sometimes people mistake Languages in Control Panel for changing system locale.
guys I'm trying to install this game since idk 2010 or before and I can never do it. When I finish installing the game simply won't open, can someone help me? I use windows 10. By the way, I don't have the file named LmtDVDVer103, only the 102 and 101, what should I do?
EDIT: NVM I found some patch downloads and it solved and I can not show how grateful I'm to this forum because after years I'll finally be able to play this game I already love you so much <3
is it normal that when i tried to open the game just like you said, it comes out as blank? its all black. and i cant close it. :(
