Togainu no Chi save issues?

Im using win8 and alcohol 120

downloaded the execution file to start the game from here:

i followed the 3 steps from the guide included in the english patch and the game runs fine until i save. after saving the game freezes and i have to use task manager to end the process, starting it up again and starting a new file works fine, but it freezes if i try to open a save file.

same thing happens if i go back to the last choice

i feel like im missing a really simple fix/error lol

Hmm, I do know the "freezing" from opening a save file is a thing in Windows 8...

There's an option in TnC's config, about saving a description of the save? Try disabling (Unchecking) that box.

Other people have suggested clicking outside of the game, then right-clicking on the task bar and bringing up the "Task Manager". Then closing the Task Manager, and bringing TnC back up.

Also, don't forget to run Togainu no Chi in Compatibility mode!

Right-click on the EXE, select "Properties", and find the tab marked "Compatibility". Select it, and make sure the checkbox for "Run in compatibility mode for..." is selected, and choose "Windows XP SP3" from the drop-down!
