The file opens and plays on MPC, but I can't hear the audio. I also installed WinAmp and tried playing the file on it, but I still can't hear it. :<
Hmm! This is a really strange thing. It seems to be something about your computer, not the games. They're running fine.
You said you have Windows 7 Pro, right? Is it on a Laptop? Or are you running it on a Mac/Apple computer?
Most I can possibly suggest is ... If it's a legitimate copy of Windows 7 Pro, that you use Windows Update and update Windows Media Center and any audio drivers for your computer.
The game is 100% fine, so it seems to be an issue with your computer.
I use Windows 7 Pro on a regular desktop computer. I think this is the model of the tower I use (if it makes a difference).
All of my audio players and drivers are up-to-date, so it must really be an issue with my computer. >A< I figured it was, but I was hoping it wasn't.
Well, thanks for all the help anyway. I'll just have to download the games on a new computer when I get the chance to buy one. ><
Really sorry about that! Maybe just a re-install of Windows? o.o
But, either way, that's far too drastic at the moment... Good luck!
EDIT:: A potential fix has surfaced!
Thanks to @misanthropelii's help and time, we seem to have narrowed down a possible cause.
The Audio files that DMMd (and DMMdrc) use for voices are Monaural (Mono) OGG files, while the Music and Sound Effects are Stereo.
If your computer's sound configuration has the ability, check it to make sure your speaker setup matches! EX, select STEREO sound instead of SURROUND sound especially if you only have 2 PC Speakers or headphones setup.
