Weird problem with Togainu no Chi

I realize this game is pretty old but I recently downloaded it with the english patch and have been playing for the past few days. I got pretty far into the game before it just stops working, after one sentence it almost freezes up. I can still exit but my options become inaccessable and I can't continue the text. I'm not sure if theres some patch that can fix it or if it's an error on my part. I play on Windows 7 64-bit. If anyone can help me solve this problem I'd much appriciate it. I'm new to these forums but have searched throughly to find a solution. Thanks in advance!

crashing at the exact same point? Maybe because of a movie or some kind of weird animation/transition on screen...(text)... maybe play the game up to that point without AGTH, passing the point it crashes, saving and then continue from that point with AGTH. I really can't think of anything else....

*Windows 7 gets a little weird with older games. I have trouble with a few myself.

With Vista/Win7 you would likely want to run AGTH with elevated rights or disable UAC.

I have a program installed to the game itself instead of using outside programs like that. I patched it in but it stopped right then. Thanks so much for going out of your way to help me though, I really appriciate it. I have tried everything else, but I guess I wonder if anyone has completed the game with the patch from "Yaoi Forever". I thought maybe since it wasn't completed it was just that that was stopped my game or if the game is corrupted somehow. Has anyone beaten it with a translation patch from them before? Again, thanks so much for the help it means a lot
