Also, if you download the file directly instead of streaming (such as if you had to dl it every time you watched it like on YT) it only uses that bw once. Hotlinking in this situation just means, don't link immediately to files that are on the AF server (where you don't have to go through AF to start a download), use links that AT LEAST point to the forum page that the main link is on.

I don't think anything on AF is streaming anyway, but just clarifying.

No, it's the other way round. You shouldn't use pictures/similar things from Aarinfantasy on other sites, like hotlinking pictures from the Aarinfantasy gallery by embedding pictures uploaded on the forum server on your website.

EXAMPLE:

An image link from [imageshack or other image storage site] to aarin = OK
EXAMPLE: http:// imageshack.us/images/greylogo.png

If you want to use an image from Aarin at a place outside Aarin, you should right-click on the image and click on "save as.." to save it to your hard drive.

You then upload it to imageshack and use the imageshack link to post the image anywhere outside Aarin.

Hotlinking from a non-photo storage stie is a no-no everywhere because bandwidth thievery is similar to stealing gas from someone's gas tank.
