hmm... the concept itself is a good idea although the method in which we want to implement it is harder to work with.

i personally wouldn't mind starting off with something small and then work from there. the only problem is getting the right sources for this kind of stuff, not to mention the content.

it would be great to have ideas of various methods shared. even better if someone knows someone who knows someone else that can help steer us in the right direction.

I've always thought an aarin gender t-shirt would be cool sort of like people have in their signatures and this way the site doesnt get a negative advertisement because only the owners of aarin gender would understand what aarin is in the first place...they could support the site in their own way though perhaps my ideas just stupid just a thought ive been sitting on the last couple of months...

I must say I'm with those who find it attracts unnecessary and maybe harmful attention.

Sure, you could always make such a shirt yourself, but having it done professionally, that goes into marketing and commercialisation and I just feel that all of us here should be careful with what attention we call to here.

No-one should have to hide for liking Yaoi, certainly, but like some have said before, the random person who just enters the URL/Site not knowing what this forum is about could be the one person stirring enormeous trouble here.

So I'm sort of cautious about it, I must admit, especially with all the content we have inside this forum, it's too precious to risk it.

ive just created a nice lookin t-shirt on my pc BUT you have to remember there are trademarks and copyrights so you have to be carefull with using them - its a clear fact to ask before using them...

i allready send my idea to Aarin and she said to me that it would take a while even if it will be accepted from the one who created the picture i used to create the design of the shirt.

hmm.. saw this thread was thinking it was a good idea and then i shifted into the porfit and publicity area..i mean we WANT to expose and nuture other BL fans out there without causing a problem and getting us shut down right..because for me aarin cannot be shut down! then where would i spend all my time.i would like to express my love for it , but for now i do that with my friends and people im sure will warm to the idea, without instantly labeling it GAY! But still, again, this is a shifty, idea that has to contemplated on and ironed out

Me and Aarin had this idea Loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong time ago... but it's something that will be very hard to implement if we decided to do so.

Time is one of our biggest problem.
But it's a fun idea to think about, just we can't do it.

If we could do it. I think we just go with "AF" and "The Y Collection" will be good enough with some kind of design.

It's do-able but you just have to go around it the right way i actually think its a nice idea to have something that we could easily identify but wasn't obvious to others. like the " AF" and "The Y collection" is a brilliant idea
and although concerns about not being seen as non profit may well be valid and also of course inviting unwanted attention i believe where there's a will there's a way.
Sure it's loads of work but nothing good is ever easy...errr i think?
