I got the same problem.
I'm using the latest Google Chrome.

I'm guessing it's a problem with Chrome. I will try to see if there's any fixes but I can't guarantee it.
fantasy black.. google chrome..
Google chrome doesn't handle css and flash very well. It's a simplified browser without several functions that are important to view more complex pages. There were several reports with people with troubles in use the forum with this browser including problems to post (google chrome doesn't handle forms very well).
I really suggest to use firefox: it's light to use, easy, efficient and loads all kind of websites. And you can improve your security and avoid the annoyances like popups and advertising with firefox addons.
hmmm okay...
well i wouldnt be using chrome if i didnt have problems with firefox in the first place
thanks dai for trying to find a solution for this.. really appreciate it.
What problems are you having with ff?
@daniyagami - yeah, it works fine with FF but FF hangs up on me alot and hangs up GIMP when it's open while I'm browsing that's why I went back to Chrome. I think I'll just practice creative viewing - if I just scroll down just right, the menu drops down instead of "up" Maybe if I'm using a desktop isntead of a lappy I'll go back to FF bec I miss my add-ons
I guess every question related to forum functions that's not a bug report goes here now?
I suppose the new "Mentions" and "Quotes" tabs can be useful, but I'm wondering if it's possible to disable receiving a NOTIFICATION every time someone mentions your name.
I think notifications are best used for actual direct communications... personal, bank, and card deliveries.
It's becoming a bit of a nuisance: I check a new notification, and it turns out someone was only bidding with a comment on prior bids in an auction or entries in a long contest. I'm bidding in half a dozen auctions at once, and frequently posting contest entries, so you can see how easily this will overwhelm real communication intended for me personally!
What do others think?
