Giving points for posting?

A question, would it be allowed to create a thread in the One Stop Section with such a content :

Giving points, if the user/member posts in a petition?
(It would be the petition in my link)

The thing is, would people post fore the points or post fore the petition.

don't get me wrong, i think it's a good idea, but just watch out that people don't only post fore points.

Sorry, but after discussion between several staff members it became clear that all staff members feel awkward about such a shop. A petition should be signed by people who feel the topic they decide on is important to them.
If they just vote for points, money, as favour,... it would contradict the meaning of a petition.

So we feel it would be better to try to find people willing to sign it because they are of the same opinion instead of being motivated by points paid in a shop.
