Forum function question (not bug) re setting up notifications

Hello helpful people,

(This isn't a bug, but a question about the new forum functioning, and I couldn't figure out the best place to put it... seemed like "Forum Support Center" was closest even though this is usually about technical stuff. If it should go somewhere else please tell me and I'll go there.)

You know how we can get several types of notification when a new PM comes in, like pop-up or notification up in menubar or email?

I'm wondering if it's possible to set up a notification when an inactive FORUM becomes busy. It seems like there are special rules over in Fiction, and I am not sure about other locations and threads, like auctions or personal threads or stores or contests or... etc etc

If there's already information somewhere, please just tell me where it is and I'll go read it. I feel very lost sometimes...

Hi, if you mean the function that was in the old forum where a live notification pops up when a new post was made... well, it hasn't been set yet.
This will probably be a function at later stages to add.
