Double post!

Please help me here

it's been quite a while since this is happening to me and I can't take it anymore

Whenever I post something It takes like 5 minutes and then I have two posts

Could anyone PLEASE do something about it ? I'd really appreciate

This must be a problem of your internet browser or firewall. Which browser are you using? Try with another one.

I'm not sure why that happens but I know it tends to happen to me when I post using my iphone

Or it can be your internet connection. If it's lagging, this happens.
Check your ISP.

it happens no matter i use mozilla, ie or chrome;p

so its not the browser problem

as for double posting problem, jz press the "post quick reply" button once only, and it will be solve. I know that its slow, and we'll tend to press the button many many times, but don't do it if u wanna stop double posting

I check your post transaction log but only notice one double post.

Are you still encountering this problem after you created this thread?

Sometime it maybe just a forum bug but it will disappear after a while >_<.

The other thing could be if it happens always at the same moment of the day... double posting will be encountered a lot during daily backup routine.

But, as all the others said, a slow connection (either ISP filtered or firewall induced) would mainly be the reason (which usually happens during backup time)...

If you are using a router, you can try to prioritize your web browsing (check Bandwidth Management for Home Networks for example)... there shall be more information in the router provider website for this.
... I am not sure you can also prioritize the same way with a modem... you can check on your modem provider.
[-> this only if you connect through internet via your computer... I have no clue if you are using a phone to connect what would be the impact]

My internet browser is Mozilla firefox (I tried with IE and the same thing happens )
My internet is slow somehow but every thing works just fine only here I get this problem, I swear I only click once on the button "post quick reply" it takes like 5 min and then I get two posts

I just wanted to say that I noticed you having another double post just now in the One Stop Shop. Are you having it in other areas of the forum or just there? I've seen it happen a lot in the auction threads when things are moving fast and people are posting a lot, but I normally don't see it in other sections.

This is just a suggestion, but if you have a slow connection sometimes, the Opera Browser might be a good thing to try. There's a little button on the lower left hand side of the browser called Opera Turbo, and that will load pages faster on slower connections. It might fix the problem you have with the double posts because it can speed up the possible lag time you have between posts.
