Troubles with the submitting fuction in the fiction section

to make it short: I wanted to post a new fiction at the original fiction section, the submitting entry pages shows and I can edit everything aside from the disclaimer, the warnings and the author's note.

I have tried various ways, to copy paste it into the fields, to type it in directly, but nothing. The form doesn't let me edit it.

The fields update and message work perfectly, the tag option accepts edit but not re-edit, so I had to delete the whole story again.

I tried to logout and log back in, refresh and clearing cookies, but nothing.


Help would really very much appreciated, thank you.

Hm, I edited an old story just now and I was able to edit disclaimer, author's note, age... pretty much everything. It might be something with the forum being down before, might still be a bit glitchy. Other than that I have no idea what might be wrong.

I'm having a déja vu, I remember someone with the same problem, it was a browser problem. Google Chrome, if I am not mistaken, can't edit these fields. The person switched to Firefox and everything worked.

I switched browsers, two times, and can now at least post it. But not re-edit, since I'm still now getting a 503 error instead every now and then.

It looks like Chrome really doesn't like the submit form, just as IE is messing with it.

Sorry if the problem was already posted, but I searched before posting and found nothing.

Aarin was fixing some problems in the fiction area, after the downtime, I don't know if she finished the job.
A 503 error is a server error.

I did finish repairing the forum tables without any problem. Just tested it out a few mins ago, it worked fine. I am using Firefox.

It could be a browser issue but I am not 100% sure yet.
Will try to find others who have similar problems but so far my tests are all fine.
