Leaving Redirects

I just ran my first contest and learned quite a lot on the fly! (but it was fun!)

One question is unanswered. When moving the contest thread into and out of the Graveyard, there are these choices:

Leave No Redirect
Leave Permanent Redirect
Leave Expiring Redirect
Expires in

What does this mean, and what should we choose? The default is "permanent redirect" but I chose "no redirect" - did I mess anything up?

I also dunno what the meaning of leave no redirect or leave permanent redirect, but to move over your contest into graveyard you did the correct thing to choose the 'leave no redirect'

Leave No Redirect -> moves the thread to the Graveyard without leaving a "copy" of it in the old section
Leave Permanent Redirect -> leaves a full "copy" of the thread in the old section (so you have the thread twice)
Leave Expiring Redirect -> leaves a full "copy" of the thread in the old section, but will disappear after the time you'll state.

Always use "no redirect" for contests after they've ended. It will move the thread to the Graveyard and there it dies

Yes, please remember to TICK "Leave no redirects" when moving your contest to OR back from contest graveyard.

I had spent time removing the redirect threads and may be thinking of giving warning to those who do not abide to forum rule.
