Art thread suddenly locked

I've been gone from the forum for around a year and I recently found myself with some free time so I decided to be active again. I wanted to upload a fanart I did and was surprised to see that my art thread (http://aarinfantasy.com/forum/showthread.php?t=35153) was locked.

I'm wondering why that happened. Was it because I was inactive? Is there a way to unlock it or do I have to make a new thread?

It's understandable that this might have come as a surprise to you. There is now an auto-locking feature on threads that remain inactive over a long period of time.
