Automated title fetching for links

There's that forum function lately that automatically fetches title of the pages you link to, but I often find it less than useful, because many sites use that title for barely readable keyword stuffing, or leave it pretty uninformative.

How do I disable that if I'd rather have the naked link show up ? Disabling parsing doesn't seem to do the trick.

Even if you put something like wrap code tags around it?

Change http to something like hxxp

Simply post link without www or the http protocol.

Thanks but all those make the link non-usable, and I was trying to save that.

Only thing that seems to work is to explicitly provide a title for the link instead of letting the forum fetch it, even if that "title" is actually only a copy paste of the URL itself.

A bit of a bother when you'd just want the http(and so on...) to show up with no fuss of frills and be clickable, like it used to work before when you put URLs in your messages, but it works.
