If we didn't display our signature in old posts, is there no way to have our new signature show up in those posts? Will our signature display only in future posts?

Signatures aren't part of your posts. When you change your sig, it'll be seen under all your posts.

If you're not seeing it in some, you're probably looking at your 2nd/3rd post of the same page in that thread, as some people have settings where sigs per user will only repeat once per page.

Thanks, but I just checked my first post of three in a thread, and that doesn't seem to be the case... My signature is only showing in posts I made after changing it.

Not many people know this:

When you change your signature, old posts that had your old signature will be updated to show the new signature at the bottom.

But posts that were made when you didn't have an active signature, will never show a signature. So no, you can't make the signature appear with your old posts, since you didn't have a signature at all when you made them.
