E-mail Notification for PMs

Hi

I received a PM a few minutes ago but I didn't receive an email notification when I usually do. I checked my Options and the box for receiving email notifications for PMs is checked. Please help ^^;;

I don't know why it happens, but e-mail notifications are sometimes gimpy.
At least they are for me. I might get three notifications for one post, or only two notifications when there have been five posts, or no notification at all. I've also had the same thing happen when I've received PMs. The notifications are also late sometimes.

I wouldn't worry too much about it. The notifications are mostly working fine, so you will probably get a notification for the next PM. Want me to send you one to test?

Same to the others but isn't we get notifications when we log in to aarin when we recieve PM's?

Oh, the first PM was from the "new response" from this thread. ^^;;; Got your second pm but no email notification >___<

izumeseijin: Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

yukino17: You can choose to have a pop-up that tells you when you get a new PM. (I disabled that one myself.)
And any new notifications are displayed in the top right corner of the forum, beneath the banner and the links. (Things like VMs, PMs, comments on pictures, etc.)

Yep, I opened my email just now and there's a whole bunch of them. Thanks for the help ^^

Well... depending on the e-mail supplier you are using, the fault can come from this side... I mean, with my Hotmail account it happens more than once that the mails are delivered hours, and sometimes day after they were sent...

So to say, with the e-mail notification, the problem can also reside on the e-mail side and not the forum...
