One thing I don't understand, and this is probably very stupid, but how come that every time we seem to not reach our donation goal for the current month before the end of the month and every time I have a mini heart attack at the end of the month but the forum survives and then suddenly we have reached that month's goal?

Ie at the very end of july it still said we needed 100s of dollars for august and now at the start of august suddenly we have reached august's goal and need money for september... :/

I'm guessing it would depend on when people's donations reach Aarin. A lot of people may have set up automatic payments near the end of the month, which would explain the sudden income.

Hi-There....I can tell you the reason behind this ,,,when Aarinfantasy originally had posted the "save the forum",,,many made at that time a one time donation,,because it was not set up for recurring monthly donations ...and about two weeks later it was fixed so this could be done,,that was later on in the month,,,and because of that ,,those recurring donations show up later on in the month ,,near the very end in fact..

Hello! I'm so sorry for the late reply but yes as what stormwolf2010 mentioned, and lemur7 said too: "those recurring donations show up later on in the month ,,near the very end in fact.."

Please keep in mind that I am able to only check and update the goal once a month (around 30th-31st of the month to 3rd-4th of the next month, because there can be issues with some recurring donations going through)... since we're getting mostly recurring ones now and really few on one time donations.
That's when I can post the list up for anyone to check if their donation is in and the amount received.

So the most accurate and best time to look at the donation goal is after the 5th of each month.

But I have to admit, there was one month where I forgot to update the outer forum's announcement part about it (because it's on a different place to update it), and just updated the thread's first post and Ko-fi's page... so it did caused a bit of a panic. I will try not to make that mistake again.

My apologies if anything causes concerns or panic, just ask here will do, no worries. Also, if you're unsure to donate for the month or not to fulfill that month's goal, just remember even if it's actually filled... it will surely be forwarded to the next month or whatever month forward, so it just keeps rolling.

Hey starting today I subscribed for $2 dollars a month on Ko-fi. It's not much I know it's because I myself also lives month to month when it comes to my finances, I dont know how they call it in the US but: Basically I have OCD and Autisme that prevents me from doing a paying job, so I get money from the goverment but it's not much, pretty much just the minimum needed to live a semi normal life.

Anyways I dont want to see this site go. The people here are always friendly and it's the biggest bl site with the most yaoi be it anime, manga, games or doujinshi in the west so it would be sad to see it go. And for me it's also the only place where I can talk about yaoi freely since I dont know anyone else who likes yaoi in real life. Plus you guys are the only ones who sub yaoi, Horriblesubs subs some shonen ai but you guys are the only ones who sub the more hardcore ones like Papa Datte Shitai (which I liked it btw). And if the Ten Count anime is gonna stay true to the manga then I can only count on you guys to sub it. And please do , Ten Count is my favorite yaoi especially since I can relate and recognize to the OCD struggles since, like I said, I have it myself.

I'm trying to do a monthly subscription...

I chose the "Subscribe using a debit or credit card" option (I don't want to use my PayPal account because there's not much in there, atm). But on the next page, even though there's a form to fill out for credit card info, it's showing as a "PayPal Checkout" and seems to be forcing me to "Create your PayPal account" before I can complete my subscription...

I've never seen this before when selecting a credit/debit card option, so I'm a bit confused... Help/clarification, please?
