Today we are happy to announce the release of iShop v1.4.0. In this version we have the following updates:
Features
Sell in "Own" Column - You may now sell your card when you're browsing card categories. No need to go to your Inventory. If you have more than one copy of the card, it will sell the card that has the highest position number. Example: First Card - Position 6th; Second Card - Position 12th. The card in the 12th slot of your deck will get sold.
Gift - a combined function of Buy and Donate. It allows an item to be bought and sent to the designated recipient in one go.
1. Click the "Gift" link of the card you wish to send as a gift. Gift Links can be found beside "Buy".
2. A popup will show up:
3. Fill-out the necessary form fields.
4. Click Send.
5. A confirmation message will appear to acknowledge that the transaction was successful. The popup will fade out and your points refreshed to reflect the changes.
To close/cancel the popup:
1. Click the 'x' at the top right or
2. Click anywhere outside the popup window (the black area) or
3. Press ESC from your keyboard or
4. Click 'Cancel' beside the 'Send' button.
Shortcut Tip: To send the gift, you may use CTRL + Enter.
Improvements
1. [Sidebar] - All Levels categories are arranged first followed by other categories.
2. [Index] - Titles starting with a number are now grouped together under "#".
3. [View Inventory]
Classic: Table columns should be properly aligned by now.
Classic Enhanced: Shuffle button is changed to an icon and moved to the right side.
4. [Donate]
- Remove your own username from the suggestion list
5. [Transaction History]
- Table overflow control for long texts. The layout should be ok now.
- Full timestamp on hover in the date cell.
- Transaction per page has been increased from 20 to 50
- Menu is updated. Bold text indicates the page you are currently viewing.
6. [Buy/Gift Links]
- Disable Buy/Gift when points is low/insufficient. Disable also if the stock of the card is already 0.
7. [Latest Items] - Series Name on Hover (suggestion)
The guide has been updated to add a section for gifting. Suggestion list updated.
I apologize for the delay. I have been on and off lately and wasn't able to do much for iShop...
I'll be back later after work to address any issue related to this update. Please pm/vm me or reply here if you encounter any problem. Thanks!
For those wondering about the two features I previously mentioned in my blog:
1. Inventory Sorting - The old code did not have a saving function. I added it but found the code inefficient in terms of sending queries to update the database. I have to think of a better way to optimize the code.
2. Gashapon - This is already integrated but IMO it needs more time for tweaking. I am adding some screenshots here if you are curious on how it looks like:
I apologize that these features did not make it in this release. Lately I have been dealing with a lot of things IRL which lessens the time that I can spend in the forums and in coding stuff for ishop. That's why instead of stalling all the updates, I decided to just cut down what isn't ready yet and push those that are available so you guys can start using them. The Inventory Sorting is in my top priority. I will look into it as soon as I start coding again.
EDIT: I might be able to release Inventory Sorting earlier than I expected. I think I am on the right track.
These are great improvements! Thank you very much! I know that the "own/sell" and gift functions will definitely get much use from me, and I would bet that it will make card giveaways much easier to run.
I get so confused when sending cards in my giveaways that I end up making a written copy of all participants names and cards to be sent, to help me keep track… and still manage to end up with extras somehow. Have two extras left from small giveaway I just completed…
It suddenly occurs to me that I clicked on the new BUY a couple of times not realizing what it was… in the middle of doing it the old way… looking forward to next time!
though it did freak me out a bit when it was not loading and i click on the send button again
i did not see the loading button so i thought that the page got hang
and was afraid of gifting it twice

but it worked out fine
I also have the same problem. I'm doing a giveaway and the confirmation message hasn't worked for me. Also, after I close the pop-up, I need to reload the page otherwise the next gift won't be sent even if the transaction menu pop-ups.
Still, it's really convenient feature that doesn't mess up my card deck so I'm still happy i think I'd need to change my giveaway title
The gifting feature is awesome! No more 2 steps buying-then-send-card steps. Lazy old me likes it x3
Thank you <333
Oh yeah, supposedly there a confirmation comes out after gifting a card but it never appears I have to click 'Cancel' button which automatically refresh the page afterwards. Otherwise, gifting cannot be done again until I hard refresh.
