    Hjsplit

I searched for info on HJSplit in the forums here and I couldn't find a help thread so...

I'm running off a Linux OS, SUSE to be specific.
It seemed to install ok. No errors and when I look for the installed files they are in the right place. (Really, you could manually install them; it's such a basic process.)
However, when I go to run HJSplit , nothing happens. NOTHING.

Anyone ever experience this before. Any suggestions for a fix?

    Thanks!

I don't use Linux myself, so I can't offer you any advice from my personal experience with the program. However, poking around the net a bit, I found this:

"Please note that a Kylix library needs to be installed on your computer before running HJSplit for Linux."

The website that mentions the above also contains a download for the library. Good luck!

Yeah I saw that and did that (there is an auto install program for linux that does that.), but still NOTHING happens when I run hjsplit afterwards. No interface or error message or anything. It's like I'm typing into space.

    Thanks anyway.

There is a program for linux only called LxSplit and it's fully compatible with hjsplit, try it: http://lxsplit.sourceforge.net/, it's listed on the hjsplit download page here: http://www.freebyte.com/hjsplit/#linux and they list GTKlxsplit which is a gui program for the LxSplit command line and include a download link for it too on hjsplit page.
