Issue: uploading picture for album

Trying to upload a picture for my album on my homepage. Accidently uploaded one that was too big and the tool won't let me go in and take it out and it doesn't seem to be dropping it. I thought that pictures that weren't used were supposed to be dropped if there were not used after 24 hours. I am not seeing a way to clear this.

Here is the error I am getting when I click on the link for upload picture...

"This picture exceeds your total album file size quota by 973.2 KB."

Can someone help me if this isn't a bug?
