29.11.11 MEGAUPLOAD DOWN - Fix it an download

Hi fellow Aariners!

Many of you may have found out until now, that Megaupload's server went down yesterday and is still not available in most parts of the world.

As I was searching the net to find the reasons, I found ~this site~

There someone tries to explain the problem, even though he/she is not really sure whether this is really the right explanation

BUT

this person gives 2 ways to avoid the problem or, to say it more clearly, gives 2 ways to still be able to reach the server of megaupload to upload and to download!

I already tried out the first version with modifying the network in Windows vista.

the second version seems to be even more easy!

you just have to change the "megaupload.com" part in the download link through the server's IP adress which is:

174.140.154.21

an example would be this (this is a link I just thought up, of course it leads nowhere):

http://megaupload.com/?d=ABC1234 will be http://174.140.154.21/?d=ABC1234

Use the google dns, the down time is just temporary.

I was not panicing, I was just telling the people how they can still download and gave some reference :)

Just in case someone else from central FL is curious, it's working on Verizon's network but it's not working on Brighthouses.

yes...I did notice it was down yesterday...but megavideo is just fine ...lmao ..and has once again a new look
so ..once my part of the world gets megaupload back ...I wonder just what that will look like....I hope they improved the account file viewing pages ..it was ugly....

*** while typing this I tried my book mark ..its working once again) YAY!*** so "Primus" has gotten the dns updated already

Well they back and there is still NO POINTS for downloaded files :recard:
I don't see any changes in layout too.
