Anyone know of a program I can use to covert mkv, mp4 into avi?
:hi:
There's List with audio converter tools to convert MP4 files into AVI. It's free and quite useful. But I don't know if you can convert MKV into AVI with it. You can also useMedia Converter - the fastest free online audio and video converter for your MKV files, but it's limited to 5 free uses a day.
my all time fav, converst almost everything into amlost anything and its for free: Super C by eRihgtSoft
I strongly recommend Freemake video converter. It is completely free, meaning it supports a lot of functions that other conversion-programs demand you to pay for. Like converting a video to the optimal HD video for your hand held device, like android, iPad or iPhone.
But it also supports converting to avi, mkv, mpeg and so forth from every commonly used video format. And it supports subtitles when converting from mkv! And it is really easy to use.
Have spent months looking for a good video converter that could convert my HD mkv files to mp4 for my iPad, that did not cause my computer to crash and that was completely free.
Most developers market their programs as entirely free, but then when you open the program and want to use some of the functions like converting HD video says you have to buy the "premium edition" or something like that, even though they said that those functions were for free:rant:
My personal recommendation is MPEG Streamclip! It is a powerful free video converter, player, editor for both Mac and Windows platform. Not only does it support many input formats,
(MPEG, VOB, PS, M2P, MOD, VRO, DAT, MOV, DV, AVI, MP4, TS, M2T, MMV, REC, VID, AVR, M2V, M1V, MPV, AIFF, M1A, MP2, MPA, AC3)
And outputs them to many others...
You can also EDIT your videos. Like say if you want only this scene in your yaoi anime. *ahem*
You can cut it out and play this on your phone over and over again.
You can also combine different *ahem* scenes and have a whole string of *ahem*.
If you need any help or advice on how to use it, feel free to contact me :D
It doesn't ask you to buy premium and whatnots.
Enjoy~ :lalala:
I suggest trying "Any Video Converter". It's free and very simple in use.
These are awesome. I need to convert files to flv and the program I had expired and will only do ones I don't need (and can't afford to buy). Thanks!!
Try directly from the terminal. You'll have a revelation. If you don't want to "dirt" your hands, then megui seems to be the most used and has support for 10 bit encoding and cuda computing (parallel computing with the gpu)
Avidemux has worked pretty well for me, and is free as well.
