Cannot use tablet pen in Photoshop

A couple of weeks ago, I briefly edited my doujinshi scans since I had very little time before summer classes would start. Now, when I opened up Photoshop again, the tablet pen wouldn't register in it or something. While the cursor still moves normally, ALL of the functions that might involve the pen (clone stamp, brush tool, burn tool, etc) DO NOT WORK whatsoever. My tablet pen works just fine in opencanvas but not in Photoshop, even after I've reinstalled the driver for it >_<

This really sucks because I planned on getting at least one of my doujinshi fully edited so I could look for a fluent translator on Manga Jouhou or something, but now I don't really have proof of any edited scans due to Photoshop malfunctioning.

Can someone please help me out? I don't have a standard tablet brand like Wacom or Graphire, it's an old XP-Pen.

    as you say yourself,
the problem must be in photoshop itself.
I don't own photoshop so I can't help you with that,
but just as ajgau1 says you could try to reinstall photoshop.
you can also check your tablet settings at the tablet input panel..
sometimes photoshop is being disabled because of the pen flicks.
also be sure you have the latest drivers of windows installed (like the standard updates)
    ..
    ..
something else, did you install any update after the last time photoshop normally worked?
'cause sometimes windows updates can ruin the tablet usage in progams...

My tablet input panel is so simple that it doesn't have any of that, so I'll just try reinstalling PSP because the darn drivers probably messed it up again. =( Thank you for helping me! =D

It might also depend on your pc and how much it can handle photoshop. Photoshop tends to shut down all of a sudden, so it might be a reason that your Tablet Pen isn't working. You should try again later. Reinstalling won't solve the problem. It's a matter of giving photoshop a rest until later.

I know this isn't much help, but this is more of my experience.

Another note would be what CS your photoshop it is. The more advanced the program, the more it will cause problems for your pc.
