Does anyone know of a free burning program that lets you burn VCDs?
Um... every burn program allows this (as far as I know) just look for the option "Creating a "Video CD" [A.K.A. VCD] try the wizard included in the program, you'll need to drag a mpg into the selection.
If you need a name, recomend you Ahead Nero which is very good and common.
err... it may sound stupid, but where do i download the divx 5.1 bundle and Xvid? thanks

Are you able to play your avi in your player. Because if not, you need to download the codecs first.
i downloaded the codecs you mentioned but the same problem happened again. wats wrong? oh, and another question. i tried using winavi. i think it worked because i can play it on windows media player but there is this message smack dead in the center of the video. they call it a nag. they said that in order to remove it i have to pay. does anyone know how i can remove it without paying?
You will have to google for the crack or buy the program.
