For some reason after meet the four guys and the OP starts, the game crashes. I can hear music playing, but no visuals appear other than a black box in a purple box. When the music is over, nothing happens. I'm not sure what to do. My computer is set to Japanese.
Have you installed codecs for your pc?

What codecs? For the language or for the game? All I did was install the game and it's patch.
No, I'm talking about video codecs.
Usually the OP is a movie sequence. If you don't have a codec installed, games would likely crash.
Install KCP codec pack. (scroll down and you'll see a windows stable build click that).
After installing try running Pigeon Blood again.
I tried and it's still not working.
Okay hmmm . . . this is strange. Well the game works right now. The OP still didn't show the video, but it finally stopped crashing.
I dunno why or how. Not sure of the codec you gave me helped fixed it, but I was able to get pass the OP. I also uninstalled the codec and was still able to get pass it, just no video 8U
