I guess if anyone here knew Chinese it would be better :(
LOL I just had to change my computer back to the Japanese system locale. I changed it before, but for some reason it reverted back so i was all like --->:cries:--->:damn:Then I thought, perhaps...:twinkle:Well, that's the end of my story~

But I sorta encountered another problem while playing the game.
Attachment 161650 Minnasan help me~:sic: I really wanted to go down this route...boku no Ikuta-chan...IT STOPPED WORKING AT THE GOOD PART...what is life...?:nonono:
Hmm, the error window says...
"Cricial Error"
"ERROR: (Line number 66292)"
"[ASUMIS3: String, Label, or Variable not found]"
@asumis3.
...Looks like there was an error in the script. I'm not entirely certain what might be the problem. Are you playing this game in Japanese? Or English? How are you palying it?
I'm playing it in japanese.
This is going to seem a bit off the wall, but when you installed the game does it's folder have Japanese text in it?
How did you install it, where did you get the files from? Maybe just a re-install with the Japanese Locale set to on might fix it. If the Locale wasn't set to Japanese earlier when you had your first error, maybe the installation wasn't 100% awesome.
So ummm... I got the files from aarinfantasy. Here http://aarinfantasy.com/forum/f153/t...sama-kari.html And I just tried reinstalling with the Japanese Locale, but it didn't work...:sob:
No worries! It's fine, I was just curious. XD
Let's see... Are you aware there is a game update patch available? Do you have that applied? There are two avaiable, one for "Gakuen Souran Hen" and one for "Rojiura Ryouran Hen". They're both on this page:
??????????????????(?)-?????????-
Find "gakuen_update11.zip", and "rojiura_update11.zip". They're for each of their respective versions of the game, to update them to Version 1.1. Not sure if you knew about these or not yet.
@Kojichan; I have the patch applied to both games, but I think what it does is that it makes 2 exe files?? I tried clicking on both and the game runs perfectly... So I have no idea which exe file to use... Or are they just the same thing? Maybe I can delte one?? :O (It happens for both games by the way~)
o_O It shouldn't be just an EXE... They're 100MB files. It's supposed to update the game's scripting core (The window Title will also say it's "1.1" at the end of the title denoting it's version number).
The problem azizhao was having should be fixed with the patch, it was mentioned in the patch notes that one of the game choices caused problems/was wrong. Also about an option in the game for speed of ... something was reversed. So setting it to HIGH would result in LOW effect.
Guess I need to actually download this outright as well. XD;;;
Lessie!
I ran the patch in a different folder to see what would happen, and checked out the Readme. The Readme talks about what areas of the game are affected, and how to install the patch. Pretty straight forward on that front...
(Install the game, don't run the game at the same time as the patch, run the patch, follow the instructions, and BAM. Save files from previous version should still work)
And the files it updates/adds are....
Code:msvp71.dll
msvcr71.dll
taskforce.xml
Taskforce2.exe
Taskforce2_safe.exe
[+] Kamisama1
|- Script.bin
[+] Movie
- opening.mpg
Ah. I'm not really sure if this was the same problem I encountered before but I encountered an error before because I always change my destination folder.
If you applied the updates and changed your destination folder when you installed the game, you'll most likely encounter that error something.
If you didn't change your location folder.. then it's good. Usually it's installed in Program Files right?
When I applied the update, it was installed outside my game folder so that's why it didn't work. (Rojiura for example)
https://31.media.tumblr.com/344a45af...BfD1rqqngz.png
I just cut the files inside the kamisama2 folder and moved them on the main game folder
https://31.media.tumblr.com/4422c7b6...vd81rqqngz.png
https://31.media.tumblr.com/69e28c1a...VMi1rqqngz.png
Then I went back again to the kamisama2 folder then opened kamisama1 folder then cut all items there and moved it inside the kamisama1 folder of my game folder.
Hmm... o.o;; Not entirely certain at the moment. Use one, if it works, then woohoo! If not, try the other?
I also have a problem too
when I install and follow what you guys did I keep getting this error
Gyazo - 00a2f1dd4ac35566fbf039d401599b0e.png
It shows up 3 time with the file extension being
vslider_u.png
vslider_l.png
vslider_m.png
not found.
:hi:
Do you have W8 or W7?? And where did you download the game from??
@Kojichan; The thing is that both exe files work... :twirly: So I'm really confused on which one to use... :aty:
Your System isn't set to Japanese Locale at the moment. If you installed the game while it wasn't in Japanese Locale, setting it now won't help to play it. You need to uninstall/remove the game completely, make sure the game is in System Locale Japanese, (So Japanese Unicode text can be shown, not system language), then try reinstalling. o.O;
And yeah, same as Dids... Where'd ya download it? XD
Oh weird. XD Ah well.
@Kojichan; Wow, I didn't know you had to re-install a game if your laptop/computer isn't set to locale Japanese... :O
And I think I'll just go with the one that has "safe" in its name... cause maybe it's safer to play?? :XD: For what, that I don't know. :maikka:
It honestly depends on the game, but it's safer that way. Some games use the registry and actually save using Japanese flavour text, or the folder for the game contains Japanese (Togainu no Chi, for example) so it has problems when it's calling a specific file in Japanese.
If you install a game without the System Locale set to Japanese, you get a bunch of characters that aren't Japanese. If you happen to switch the system locale AFTER installing a game that does this, the text won't change to Japanese, it stays broken. So yeah. XD
Actually had this happen to me with DMMdrc when I tested it on my work computer without Japanese System Locale.
Had to disable the System Locale recently on my home computer so I could install my new Sims 3 expansion packs, and forgot it was off, so when I tried launching a VN game I got bombed with errors. XD Oopsie!!
:hahaha:
:O That's interesting to know~!!
oh thank you so much for the helpful tip.
I honestly didn't know we have to reinstalled either. XD
my BL gaming experience has been is really limited.
I did set my computer local into JP, but for some reason it just didn't work.
so I had to uninstall, and restarted , then re-install and it works now.
As you said, it stays broken, since I never restarted my computer X)
once again thank you so much!
As for where did I dl Kamisama kari from. It was already stated in the first page of this thread by the user AzizHao. Below is her quoted post, for you guys to see xD;;
Oh, nice; you managed to get it to work~!! :yay: :cheerldr:
Hi, would anyone tell me what are these configuration means?

Thank you so much. :D For the sound option, the top left is BGM, what are the 2 below? On the right I guess it's character voices. Attachment 167114
Oh and extra characters have no voice?
Top left is BGM, Second one is Sound Effects (Hits, smacks, kisses, crashes), Third one is System UI Sound Effects (Beeping, whooshing). The left side of the slider bar is "Small/Soft/Quiet", and the right one is, "Large/Strong/Loud"
Yeah, the right is the character voices (Global voice volume).
I haven't actually played this myself, yet, so I guess the extra's don't have voice acting, or can only be controlled via the volume slider. But then the other characters' voices would also be affected.
Ah well.
