How to change video files

Does anyone have or know of a program to change files to mp3 files that will play on a classic
IPOD?? I would love to put a a few series on it. Also, how to you compress a file to make it smaller?

While I haven't used this one for video files, personally, it supposedly can do those too. Worked with the other things I used it for though~> Zamzar - Free online file conversion
