Latest 'J. Romantica' Episode?

Alright, so, I'm pretty sure this doesn't go here, but I can't seem to find a more appropriate place atm.

The thing is, I've downloaded the latest episode from this site two different times, and tried playing it on both VLC and Realplayer, but I get the same problem every time: it lags, and subtitles jump. Is it just me experiencing this problem?

If so, any suggestions as to what exactly it is I'm doing wrong would be extremely appreciated. Also, please hurry, as I am quite eager to see this episode! :3 *is addicted to JR*

Is the episode in HD quality? Sometimes when i download episodes that are in HD (or mp4 formate) I get that kind of trouble. If that is the case try to convert it to a different formate.

I use VLC as well, but I'm not experiencing any problems. It is widescreen, but not HD. It could be that it is just lagging for you. How old is your computer (if it was lag, it would have to be a pretty old computer, though,)?

I don't think it's in HD. It's a .avi file.

I didn't know what information you'd need to see if it's old. In any case, it's never done this before. And I just re-downloaded it for the third time, and it's still doing the same thing.

EDIT: I just tried running 'Sensitive Pornograph', and it's doing the same thing. I tried to run Ad-Aware yesterday, but it froze on me. I'm going to try running it again. Maybe that will help..?

It could be lag. I'm not saying it is. If it never has done it before, even with the other episodes of season 2, then it probably isn't lag. I'd say try playing it in a very 'light' video player, but vlc is one of the lightest I can think of.

I'll have to think about this. I'm a computer sciences major, so this is kind of my field, and it's going to bother me if I can't figure out exactly what it could be. I have to go to class soon, anyways.

In the meantime, try playing it with nothing running in the background at all, and see if it helps.

Mhm, it's a laptop. Could that have something to do with it? I can try to go play it on my boyfriend's laptop (it's a little better than mine, I think), but sadly we don't have a desktop.

EDIT: So I copied it to a junk drive and it played on my boyfriend's computer on WMP. I take that to mean that something's wrong with my computer in particular, which was an understandable conclusion considering the results of my poll >>
