Silver Chaos - Installation Help

I downloaded Silver Chaos (it worked), I unzipped the RAR file (it worked), I installed it without switching to Japanese (it worked), I installed the English patch (it worked) but then while playing it crashed when it showed the red hall in the beginning... -.-

I deinstalled it and switched my PC to Japanese because I read that it always crashes there when you don't switch your PC to Japanese... So tried to install it again and it seemed to work fine but when it ended it showed THIS!

What does it mean and what do I have to do to make Silver Chaos work...?

, have you tried to download it again, maybe another version? I've got this one (LINK) and it works fine.

But, I downloaded it from that link and it happens anyways. T___T

And this is what I did:
I switched my pc to Japanese, clicked installer.exe, clicked the second option in the option box.
But when the whole process is about to finish, that error pops up, saying the installation failed. It doesn't even say why U__U

It leaves a folder with files, where the game is supposed to be installed (that folder is 600~mb), and the shorcut on the desktop is there, but when I click it it ask me to insert the cd, even though I chose the full install option.

And after that, when I click installer.exe again, the only options I can click are install the game and leave.

I don't know what to do :/
Any help would be very appreciated ^^

Edit: Oh, and I didn't have the chance to install the patch, because when I click it, it says the game is not installed.

Now I remember that I had got a problem like that with my Win XP pc. I couldn't install the patch as you said and the game didn't run. But I haven't solved the problem yet. I've installed and played the game on Win 2000 and it worked fine. Have you got XP?

Yeah, I have XP
After I read your post, I right-clicked the installer.exe and set the compatibility tab to Windows2000, but the installation failed again T___T

they say: "As far as technical issues with the game, I had no problems on Windows XP with the language set to Japanese." on their troubleshooting section

So, our computers hate us, that's all xD;;

i'm having trouble too...
i can imstall in but when it load it just come out the japanese words which i can't understand at all.
then it keep on going and it later pop up said that main system.exe has encouter a problem and need to exit...
this happen a few times...
i wanted to know what happen...
can anyone help me trouble shoot it?
it can't be played at all...
not a single things can process it...
please help

I don't know how to solve our problem, but this might be useful for EL_MaNu, since we have the same problem. I'll try to explain it properly, although my English is bad...

I burned it onto a cd.
Then, using the cd, even though the installation fails again, I'm able to play, since mainsystem.exe asked for a cd and now is able to read it.

However, I can't install the English patch, because it says the game is not installed.
But the game's translation is posted in Onadoru Euphoria
(ht tp://www. sakuracities.com/yaoigames/).
So the game can be played reading the translations on that webpage at the same time.
We have the same problem, so I think you will be able to play too ^^

Game is full screen but you can change that.
When the game starts, click オプション (option)
Then, find 画面サイズ (screen size), and click ウインドウサイズ (window size)

I adjust the size of the webpage and move it to the bottom of my desktop, and I can play and read the translation at the same time.

It'd be better to solve our problem, but I hope this will be useful for you too, in the meantime. ^^

yuyue_hirakiseire. There are older threads where people asked for help and I think I read something about the game crashing. Maybe you have already read those threads and there's nothing useful for you, but if you didn't, maybe you're lucky and your problem is already solved there ^^

Hi! It's not an hardware problem. I've played it on a pc that was cheaper than yours and it worked. The problem seems to be with the operative system. With XP I can't play it, but with 2000pro I can.
