Help installing a PSP game

So until now, I've been playing only PC visual novels; I tried downloading a PSP one but it seems the process is different, after extracting file, only the .ISO one appears, it gave me the option to mount it (which I did) but nothing happens. My question is, do I need to download a PSP emulator in order for it to work? If that's the case, could you provide me with a link to download a good one? Thank you in advance

Emulator is necessary for playing any console game on PC, for PSP game I use PPSSPP, it works fine even on modest laptop (for games I tried) and relatively easy to use, the official website : https://www.ppsspp.org/

Edit: So I've downloaded a game from this page and tried it, it seems to be working although it seems it does not include the English patch, I thought all the games here did, or maybe I'm doing something worng

Which game are you trying ? There is plenty of PSP without an English translation.
