Can someone help me to download this game? With details, since I'm new to this. I mean downloading this games. I really likr this game and I don't know where I have to download nss-fullpatch.ndpa patch. Please.

You said you were new to download this game, but have you installed games like this before?

If not, I'll go over a step-by-step process. I'm sorry it's gonna look huge, but it's explained in simple terms to make it easier to follow. ^^ If you already have some of these steps done, just find the appropriate step you need.

Also, I put each part in SPOILER tags so it doesn't look as scary, and you can go through each part separately. Click the [SHOW] button to open the next step as you go!

Part 1 - Setting your System Locale to Japanese

First of all, you need to make sure your computer has it's System Locale set to Japanese. This is a requirement to play any Japanese Visual Novels. Here is a link to instructions on how to do that: http://aarinfantasy.com/forum/f360/t...ml#post4219281

Please restart your computer once your System Locale is set to Japanese.

Part 2 - An ISO Mounting Program

Now, you will need an ISO mounting program. It will make your computer think you have another DVD drive, and will let you install these games. Here is one for you that is really simple: https://www.redfox.bz/en/download.html (Find the section marked: Freeware then look for the program: Virtual CloneDrive and click on the blue download icon)
It's called Virtual CloneDrive, and once it's installed, all you need to do to mount an ISO is to doubleclick on the ISO, then it's there! ^^

Part 3 - Archive extraction program

Most of the games you will find will be split into smaller files. This is to make it easier to share. So you will need a program that will let you get at the files. A program called 7-Zip will let you do this: http://www.7-zip.org/a/7z1514-x64.exe Install that and then we'll continue!

Part 4 - Downloading the Game

Next we'll need a copy of the game we want, in this case, Lamento! Visit this post: http://aarinfantasy.com/forum/f145/t...ml#post4338412 And then download each of the links provided. They're numbered "Part 1" through to "Part 10". Download them one at a time. It will take a while, unfortunately, but they should all be there! (I checked most of them quickly)

Save them all into a folder that is easily accessible, like on your Desktop or in your Downloads folder.

Part 5 - Extracting and Mounting the game ISO

Once you have them all saved, you can RIGHT click on "Lamento_~BtV~_(DVD).part01.rar", select "7-Zip" and choose "Extract here". Give it a little time to extract the ISO...

Afterwards you'll have some new files, but what you want right now is the file "LAMENTO_DVD.ISO". If you see two files named "LAMENTO_DVD", we want the bigger one (about 1.9GB big in size). Double-click on it, and it should now mount on your computer! ^_^

Part 6 - Installing the game! ^_^

Your computer should have popped up a window asking if you want to run the Installer, so go ahead and do that. If it didn't, open up your "My Computer" option and open the Lamento DVD to run the installer" "install.exe"

Click on "Game Install" in the black window with the kitty-man, then look for the second button with the "次へ (N)>" and click that.

The installer is now asking for a serial code, which you can find in the folder where you extracted the ISO to. It's called, "コノエたん.txt". Open that up and copy the numbers into the installer.

Afterwards click the second button with the "次へ (N)>".

This is where you need to select a new save location for the game. Please, please, PLEASE do not use the default location! Click the button with the (R) in it (On the right), and choose Just C:\, and then click "次へ (N)>".

In this window, leave the checkbox, and click "次へ (N)>" to continue.

Then once more click "次へ (N)>".

Let it do it's install....

After it's done it'll popup with a question. It's asking if you want a Desktop Icon for Lamento. Your choice. ^^

The next window that pops up is asking if you want to start the game. DESELECT the checkbox, and click the "完了" button, it's the second one.

Part 7 - Update the Game core

Now we have to patch the game to a version that the English Patch uses!
Go back to the folder where you extracted the Lamento DVD ISO, and find the file named "LmtDVDVer103", and run it. Click "OK", and now we wait for a while...

After a bit a window will pop up. It should say...

With an OK button. This is NOT an error! It just says it was patched successfully. ^^ If it says anything other than the above, let me know and we'll try to fix it. o.O;;

Part 8 - Replace the program with a NoDVD version.

Go back into the folder where you extracted the ISO, and find a file named "Lamento -BEYOND THE VOID-.exe", and COPY the file.

Now we need to find the folder where Lamento was installed. You do remember, right? ^^ It should be on your main computer, under C:\Lamento -BEYOND THE VOID- DVD\ -OR- C:\NitroplusCHiRAL\Lamento -BEYOND THE VOID- DVD\ . Find that folder, and then PASTE the program file you copied earlier.

COPY AND REPLACE the file! It's perfectly fine to overwrite it!! ^_^

Part 9 - Verify the Game runs

This is just a small step to check if the game's working... We just need it to start up. So go ahead and doubleclick on "Lamento -BEYOND THE VOID-.exe" and start the game. If it opens and it starts normally, we're good! XP CONTINUE!

Part 10 - Downloading the English Patch

You will need to download two files.

The first one is: nss-fullpatchver2.4.npa Download and save it in the folder where you installed Lamento (You remember, right? ^^)


Now you need to choose! The English Patchers have two graphics patches available. One is just for the in-game buttons and menu, or the second one which also includes DECENSORED graphics of the smut scenes.

Choose ONE OF THESE TWO, NOT BOTH!!

Buttons and Smut translated: cg-fullpatch.npa
Just Buttons translated: cg-buttonspatch.npa

Make sure to save the one you pick in the same folder you installed Lamento.

Now with both of the English patches saved, we need one last step... Gotta rename the files for them to work properly! The game won't be in English unless we do this!

So goto the folder you installed Lamento, and RENAME the files you just downloaded. Rename "nss-fullpatchver2.4.npa" to "nss-patch.npa". Then rename whichever CG pack you downloaded to "cg-patch.npa".

Once that's done, your folder should look like mine:

lamento_install.jpg

PLEASE IGNORE THE FACT THAT I HAVE A FILE NAMED "Lamento -BEYOND THE VOID-.bak". It's just a backup of the program I made. Purely my own choice, you won't have it!

Well, what is the error message you're getting? Are you sure it's an error, and not just a confirmation message?

Could you take a screenshot of the error for us?

Also:
- What version of Windows do you have?
- Where did you install Lamento?
- What were all the files you downloaded so you could install Lamento?

Hi! Thank you for replying. I'm sorry, but I can't take screenshots, because my PrtSc button is busted. I have Windows 8. I'm sure it was an error message. I installed it to Programfiles (86x). These are the messages I've got:

I can verify that the files you've downloaded matches in file size of successful download...but just to be sure, can you check the MD5 or SHA1 of the files to confirm that those aren't corrupted?

Erm, Kojichan just said not to install it to the default folder. You just did. Change it. How? On the installation process you'll see something like this --- C:¥Program Files (x86)¥NitroplusCHiRAL (It is yen sign because the system locale is Japanese)

Just press the button beside it and a pop-up screen of choosing a folder will appear. Choose the location you want to install it, except for the default one.

I do not understand JP so sorry, I can't determine what kind of error it is. Also can you give further details on the circumstance of the error. Did you get the error by opening the patch, or after trying to install the patch? Did you atleast get to this screen?

If you did get to this screen and then it fails patching, try the ff:
1. Make sure, on the dialog box showing the address of supposedly Lamento Install (In the picture, it's the C:¥Program Files (x86)¥NitroplusCHiRAL¥Lamento -BEYOND THE VOID- DVD), the address correctly points out to where your Lamento folder is.

2. Is your user Administrator? Make your user Admin, then Run the patch as an Administrator so that patch can modify files without Windows preventing it to so.

3. If all else fails, disable fully User Account Control then try running again as Administrator. If you're bothered by deactivating UAC, just activate it again afterwards.


If you didn't even get to these screen... uh, corrupted patches perhaps?

Hello! Thanks for helping and for Greenshot. I installed it before I found this thread, so I didn't know I wasn't supposed to install it to Programfiles. Thank you for pointing that out! ^-^ The files are not corrupted. I didn't even get to that screen. :/

Actually, I run Win 10, and I installed Lamento at that folder too, but I have no problem opening the patches... actually just opening the patches should not be affected where Lamento is installed.

Just to be clear, these errors pop out when you try to open LmtDVDver101 or LmtDVDver102 after installing Lamento? Lol we can just wait for Kojichan to translate these errors.

Ooo, suzuyaiskawaii. Sorry about your Print Screen button. Ouch! Well, hopefully monokuroe's program will help you later on down the line with screens. ^^

Either way, I was able to read the error messages perfectly fine. The Kanji was perfectly readable!

So here's how it goes...

The first one is:

File Decompression
Perform the File Decompression/Install?

Then just Yes/No in your own language. Just an FYI, this NEVER shows up normally when running the LmtDVDVer10x patches.


Second one:

Absolutely cannot read the archive stored within the executable file.
The file is most likely broken as well.

The LmtDVDVer10x files are actually archives, that store the update. When you run them, they temporarily decompress the files inside it, then run that updater. In this case, the outter EXE shell that extracts the innards can't read the files. It's saying the file may be corrupt.

So! Here's an option for you, quick and easy:
Head over to this page: Index of /patches
and search for the file named "[Nitro+CHiRAL] Lamento Ver. 1.03 Patch (DVDROM).rar", then download that.

While you're there, also pick up "[Nitro+CHiRAL] Lamento noDVD Patch (required for AGTH).rar", because you're going to need it later.

Extract the Ver 1.03 Patch somewhere nice, then try running the LmtDVD103 program.

Now I just need to find a way to get my Togainu no Chi to work again, but only after playing through this. 8D
