Patch Definition:

As per Wiktionary,


Noun (computing) A patch file, a file used for input to a patch program or that describes changes made to a computer file or files, usually changes made to a computer program that fix a programming bug.


Verb (computing) To make the changes a patch describes; to apply a patch to the files in question. Hence:

• To fix or improve a computer program without a complete upgrade.
• To make a quick and possibly temporary change to a program.

This Patch assumes that the user already has the game DRAMAtical Murder re:connect installed and working on their computer. This is not a download to the pirated copy of the game with the English patch already applied. This is – as the definition explains – just the patch.

you see i am running this on a mac and there is no dx folder to be found. If you could help me with this problem it would be very helpful. thank you!

I am running this on my mac. I have copied the files from the patches like it said to do. Now I am confused about the root folder. Was there another folder i was supposed to get, or is the "DMMD reconnect fullset" folder the root? if so i have put the copied files into there, and now the manual is saying to copy the video files and put them into the DX folder. If you know how to solve this problem help would be appreciated.

Hello Shadowraing!

Actually, you only have PART of the game. What you have extracted is just the English translation for the game. You still need the full DVD/ISO for the game, and run the installer. Once the game is installed, then there will be a DX folder.

But, I don't believe the installer runs in a Mac OS. Are you, perhaps, trying that Mac version of the game that someone created?

i just have one question though, because i started playing the game,
but for some reason i can't hear Aoba's voice whenever it's his line already,
i still have to go back to the back log to be able to hear his voice.

i am not sure if this is something you can help me with, but i would like to know what the
cause of the problem is... thanks~

That's an interesting problem! I have a question for you; Are you using headphones or computer speakers? And is it just Aoba that's having this issue?

hi there I'm using both speakers and earpiece
and yes it's only Aoba's voice... I tried maximizing the volume of his voice,
but it's still no use whenever it's his turn to speak already~~

Just a quick check for me, if you wouldn't mind. ^_^

Can you right-click on the computer speaker icon in your bottom right area of the screen?

In the pop-up, click on "Playback devices".

Look for a green round checkbox icon in the list of devices (may very well be just 'Speakers'), and click on it.

Now click on the button in the lower left of this window named "Configure".

In the new window, check to make sure the area named 'Audio channels' has just "Stereo" selected, and select 'Next'.

De-check any checkboxes in the next window, if there are any selected, then click 'Next', then 'Finish'.

Try the game again at this point, if it still doesn't have audio for Aoba, then may I ask for you to post a screenshot of the folder where DMMd is installed? It should look something like mine:

Awesome! OK, then here's a silly question... Check out your Options for the game, and in the top-right box there are a bunch of orange boxes with the characters' names... Can you check to make sure they're ALL Orange? And if they aren't, click on the ones that are grey.

Let me know how that goes.
