Patching Problems (Lucky Dog 1)

I'm at the end of my rope. I've been trying to update Lucky Dog with patch 1.10 for three days now (so that I can use the /h code provided by mastress to translate the game), but all my efforts have failed.

I have Windows .Net Framework 3.5, I have the game fully installed and working, but every time the patch installation shuts down halfway and I get the following message:

Could not write file. Please make sure there is enough space in your disk and there is no file already opened.

I use the Japanese language system, and extract the patch in the installation folder of the game. Also, there's plenty of space in my disk and no files opened.

This was also the case for the Miracle No-Ton 1.10 update patch and both are self-extractable archives.

Could someone please help?

I couldn't update Lucky dog 1 too although I had MS Framework 3.5 as well but I could solve the problem by deinstalling all MS Framework versions and install MS Framework 3.5 new. ( Unicode system was set to Japanese ).

Somehow fixed it a long time ago but forgot to update (teehee).

From what I remember, it was a language issue. Either you have to install the patch in your original computer's language or in Japanese (forgot which one). But if you do that, it should work out. Of course, remember to set the language as Japanese when you're actually playing the game.

when you installed the game
did you install it in the japanese system
or just some random language system
and all you do is switch languages?

games are very particular
you should install in the language itself
and play in that language itself

Errr.. Does anyone have the english patch? If you do please post a link .. :/ ..

EDIT: My bad, the person in charge is just doing a translation, it is unlikely that he/she will release a patch for the game~

Not quite sure if they are going to release an English Patch for it It is unlikely that an English patch is going to be released, but they are translating the game, and you can play the game alongside with the website for the translations~

Here's a note from the person in charge of the project:

Do not use my translation to make patches for the game or use them for YouTube subs.

My desire to remain on friendly relations with tennenouji aside, making a patch exponentially increases the chance that this entire project be scrapped due to legal action.

I have taken the pains so that you may read the script and still enjoy it just as easily as if you play the game alongside. Please respect my wishes as well as those of tennenouji, and allow this blog to remain online for the sake of other readers.

If you wish to use my translations for any (other) purpose, please contact me first. Due to my relations with tennenouji, there are strict limitations on what can and can’t be done.
