How do you run TNC on Windowas 8?

@haseokite After you downloaded and installed the game, you need to find your installation folder, and then click on togainunochi.exe to run the game. Remember that you always need to mount the virtual disk while playing the game~ I'm pretty sure it works exactly the same way with Windows 8 (since I'm using my Windows 7 computer to play my games~ Never tried on my Windows 8 computer...)

Same issue here. Running on Windows 7 (64-Bit), Japanese language pack installed.

Update:

1) Follow this step: http://www.coscom.co.jp/learnjapanese801/msime_win7_en4.html
2) Reinstall the game.
3) Enjoy. :P

Make sure to save your 'SAVE' folder (in the game directory) before you uninstall it and replace it afterwards when the game is reinstalled.

Edit 2:

After you reinstalled the game, your game directory should be correctly named "咎狗の血"instead of "™é‹ç‚ÌŒŒ".

Hello all! It would seem I'm having trouble with windows 8 as well ^^
I have it all installed and working but it seems to freeze after a small amount of game play
I'm set to Japanese locale so I'm a little stumped as to why

Hello ToriChan!

Where did you install TnC? TnC is very fickle, because it is such an old game. Other tricks that people have tried to get TnC to work with Windows 8 include:

• Installing the game somewhere else. (Example, C:\Games\NitroplusCHiRal\TnC\ instead of the default location.)
• Running the game as Administrator
• Disabling the ability to write file-save descriptions

Because TnC is so old, it actually saves it's gamesaves in the same folder it's installed to, which usually causes issues on newer Windows'.

Let us know if any of these worked, or not, and I'll see what else we can try. ^_^ Good luck!
