subtitles not showing

Hi guys i had to reformat and now the subtittles won't show on the anime for example [HorribleSubs] Sekai-ichi Hatsukoi - 07 [720p] shows the subs but the earlier episode won't show them. I have installed the codec pack you recommended and still nothing i get the video and sound but no subtitles.

i looked in teh windows media player settings and that's not it.

Hi,Backdrop .... try right clicking on your ffshow video box(tiny little red box thingie that sits in your task bar when you play video) or check to see that your "vobsub" is auto-load ..if not just right click on that and you'll see what you need to do

More info needed:
What media player are you opening it with.
Also what codec pack, people here either shout out Klite or cccp which of the 2 did you install?
I agree with the poster above, Vobsub should be in both codecpacks.

I use VLC player and I love it. Some time ago I also had problem with subtitles in mkv format. I went to settings then preferences and then clicked reset all. It worked.
