Review #1

Manga title: Kabeana Heaven Hole

Review: Although it may appear to be nothing more than material for masturbation, this one volume manga is still a title I recommend all hardcore fujoshi to read.

Story: As a standard “pwp” title, there isn’t much to be said about the story. The story of a younger brother anonymously having sex with his older brother at a gloryhole shop on multiple occasions until they fall in love makes little to no sense, but you’ll be so wet that you won’t care. Seriously.

Art: Nakagawa-sensei draws erotically and handsomely. I wouldn’t call her boys beautiful like in Totally Captivated or cute like Minami Haruka’s, but they’re easy on the eyes. I see her type of art in a lot of newer yaoi artists, such as Kiriyu Kiyoi or Miyoshi Ayato. She gets a 10/10 in how she well she captures the painful tears of a tormented uke being plowed by a stranger.

Characters: The younger brother, Muroi Yuuya, is several years younger than his highly accomplished, company president-type brother, Muroi Takumi, who acts like a sadistic boss at work but is actually an M working at a gloryhole specialty shop. When they find out each other’s identities, instead of worrying about the fact that they’re brothers or that they both frequent gloryholes, they move out together in order to have unhindered kinky sex all the time.

Side characters are unnecessary in a nonexistent story line, so really, there are none.

Conclusion: Exhibitionism, spanking, bondage, gloryholes, sex toys at work – what more could we want? Oh, right. Pedophilia. The second story of this manga is a student x teacher story involving a shotacon private tutor and his old student coming back to haunt him 10 years later. In bed. The end.

Review:
Sometimes deeper is better, right? Or do we always like it deep? Well, this collection of one-shots are all very deep (and I can almost see your deeply perverted mind). But really, how often do we encounter BL stories where death, or more precisely, “dying tomorrow” is the main theme? This might not be everyone’s cup of hot chocolate, but it definitely was a refreshing cup of tea.

The plots range from normal humans to beastly creatures, fairies to souls of the soon-to-be deceased. They can be tragic and sad, yet strangely heartwarming, and can make you think about what truly matters in life. It involves male prostitution, the end of the world, and the hiring of a hitman. The change of pace, different scenery, and length (ranging from 19 to 36 pages) of each story made it an interesting read. The unexpected turn in some of them made it all the more exciting.

The different artists all have their own distinctive style, and most stories include some hot action. Each artist tackles this heavy theme in their own way, and the different perspectives of “death” seen from varying point of views will bring you closer to your own values.

They both are so very good and I'm hard pressed to pick a favorite... Good job to both of you!

Can't we have a draw? I mean, in my case, both reviews were catchy and made me wanna read the mangas (which i shall start after some hours of sleep, cos my eyes are killing me). Usually i try to be objective and try to appreciate the writing style/skills in reviewingand after to see the personal touch each reviewer has, like their "signature review" imprint.

The first review is totally catchy, i adore the style, is so refreshing and fun to read, exactly what i usually look for. Maybe there were a little bit to many things uncovered - even if, from what i get the manga is purely sex - that it kinda kills off my desire to start reading it right away

The second review... heck that first line is so double meaning like! This is also fun and just pushes you to want and discover the story yourself, leaves so many gaps, that for sure you'll get to read the manga right away + the art style is catchy! The bigger minus here, i believe is the length of the manga and the fact that there are so many Authors involved, which makes it very difficult to resume to 300 words/review. Each of them has different style, so i guess the review could have been longer and not so summarized. I stll love it and i'll still start with this manga to read.

Still, no #1 will win my vote this time. Hope to get to read more from both, the next months!

This was one of my hardest votes because both were great in different ways. #1 had section headings and covered more aspects of the manga; #2 was more like an actual summary, which really worked well for an anthology-styled manga. In the end, #2 nudged up because it was the one I wanted to read more. But both are definitely winning quality and I hope both reviewers keep on entering!

I am not surer which one to pick. The two are quite interesting, catching way to present the stories, or lack of , therefore, I'm still hesitating.

Both reviews were so well written. It's so hard to choose. Maybe I'll just flip a coin...is that allowed?
