Auction Section Master Thread

Hi, I'd like to suggest a Master thread for the auction section.

It would be similar to the iShop cards sales/updates thread. When there are new auctions, the auctioneers can just reply to the thread in a format like:

Link to Auction:
Sets for Auction:
Auction End Date/Time (in UTC +0):

So that way people can just subscribe to the thread and find out when new sets are up for auction.

And whoever's maintaining the master list in the first post can just copy and paste the information. For example:

Auction: auction 1
Sets for Auction: Vassalord, KHR, Original Characters
Auction End Date/Time: Aug 10, 9 am (UTC +0)

Auction: auction 2
Sets for Auction: Kuroshitsuji, FMA
Auction End Date/Time: Aug 15, 7:30 pm (UTC +0)

...etc.

Would this be a good idea? :shake:

I love this idea. It would help people that tend to miss the ending of auctions, and it will help people that try to keep them all straight too.

I'm already subscribed to so many auctions just to watch them, and it would be nice to have them all organized like that.

As I'm one of the auction addicts who tend to mess up a lot and forget times, i can only agree.
It would be really convenient to have one list to show all the active auctions, sets on sale and the ending time combined. :)

I feel like that'd be hard for someone to keep track of. =/ It'd have to be someone that lives in the auctions, like halite or lynixe. :XD:

But then the ends of auctions keep changing, so then it'd be something that changed frequently. Or people don't specify auction ends until the day of and such...

I'm not sure if it's something that could work out, though a trial run would be great to see if it's something that could work.

Hmm. The one maintaining it only has to subscribe as well. They'll get notified of every change and can include it.
I think the most work would be compiling the list in the beginning.

I like the idea, though I too, wonder about the management of it.

I do think that it would be nice though, to be able to have one thread you could subscribe to that gives you a list of all of the current auctions. I also like the formatting idea that DeepSeaCreature came up with, where you have an idea of what is being auctioned.

We can do a trial run of this. give me some time to go through the active auctions to make the list :)

I'm on everyday so. I can check and edit...

I also think if an auctioneer is going to start a new one, they should message the manager of the list too - so they can just edit instead of hunting =o like a simple VM with a link :]
