I think it's kind of unfair to the authors that we can't rep them in the Fiction section. I used to rep the authors of the stories I likes back in the old Fiction section because I think that it's encouraging for them. Can't the mods add the rep option? :huh:
I agree, I wanted to rep someone when I was reading there stuff, only to find out that I couldn't! If not repping by someone, can't we at least have some similar system to show that we appreciate what's being written? :) I think it's a good idea.
For the moment, you could maybe find a random post of the author and "Add to Reputation" on it while saying the reason..!?
Yes, you could, but it's not the same. I'd like to reward the author for the hard work he/she did on his/her fic, not for other, absolutely not related posts. Yes, you can send a comment with the rep points, I know... Still I find it kinda unfair, as alexa87 told before me, that you can't reward the fiction posts.
And what do you do, my dear SpiritOfTheWinds :hug:, if the author has never posted anything out of the fiction section? :megane: I give you the reply: nothing. Because you can do nothing :(
I'd really love to see again the possibility to rep in the fiction section again :wakuwaku:
To reply to SonnyGoten's and melodysnow's question, yes, we can leave a positive comment on the works :) That's all, I think - for the moment.
This is on the things to do list. Since the forum software will be upgraded soon, there won't be any major updates (to anything on the forum really) yet since the coding will be totally different and any changes made now would have to be changed again to work with the upgrade of vbulletin.
