Allowing 3-Letter-Name Searches

Hi, is there any way to lower the minimum length of words required in a search? A fair share of characters have 3 letter names (Roy, Hei, Gin, etc.) and currently they are not searchable. These names are hardly common words either, unlike "the" or "all", which the "too common" filter should take care of anyway.

Or else, allow us to search for names + spaces inside quotation marks and count those spaces toward absolute character count. In other words, "Roy" would be 3 characters and filtered out, but "Roy " and "Roy/" would be 4 characters and "Roy x" would be 5 characters.

Sorry, this probably won't be something that's gonna happen. It sounds like a simple task to do, but it's actually not. All words less than 4 letters are not indexed into the search database currently. It requires the database to rebuild it's search index, meaning it have to scan every single post to check for words with 3 or more letters and add it to a new search database, which will take a very very long time as you can imagine.
