i was wondering whats a infraction?
An infraction is something like a warning given to you by a mod or an admin. If enough infractions are accumlated, you may be suspended or banned from the forum.
As Suracis said, infractions are a kind of warning, a bit more serious though (usually given after a user was repeatedly asked not to do something and ignored it, or if they flood a host link thread with spam). But you should know this: it takes a LOT of effort to get enough warnings/infractions to be banned XP
T__T I got an infraction because I forgot we can't quote pics...
even after an infraction expires, why is it still there? does it still count toward this "accumulation?" If so, then basically there's no way to get rid of it, right?
It's expired meaning the points that you acquired is subtracted from the total points pool. So no, you have no points that are "active" or accumulated. Only you and the staff can view the warning listed on your profile. It is only there for history purposes.
Just for the sake of further clarification. If the infraction is expired then it doesn't add to the accumulated points?
Besides, if someone recieved an infraction for a certain behaviour and this infraction expires, if he or she by any error, does it again, does this means that the expired infraction will turn into a point like when you have a reprive or a probation order, or the new mistake is counted with another new infraction?
And as I opened the Pandora's box, how much points of infraction, actually activated and accumulated you need(or don't need may be the right term) to get banned?

Basically it's open to admins and mods to decide how many points they want to give for a certain behaviour/rule breaking.
If someone receives an infraction and the infraction expires, those points are no longer valid BUT if someone gets caught repeating the same 'mistake', the mod or admin may decide to give a higher point warning with the second infraction.
About how many points one needs to get banned, well, I don't know and may wanna ask the admins, but be assured that unless an admin decides to ban you, other bans would usually be talked about by the mods and/or admins before actually doing it.
That only thing that has different specific rules towards that, are the reputation abuse infractions. Those also come with other consequences listed in the Reputation Abuse TOS ->
1. First warning from a moderator, permanent infraction on your profile record and unnecessary rep deleted.
2. Second warning and infraction record added, with all your reputation points reset to zero.
3. User account banned.
